Open Fields

Open Fields is taking place this year on Saturday, September 27, from 10-4. It’s a free, one-day, self-guided farm tour meant to educate, entertain and encourage the public to explore their backyard and learn about agriculture. The participating locations will offer tours that teach visitors about what they do on a day to day basis and how things operate in modern agriculture. The locations haven’t been publicly announced yet, but we are excited to have four exciting stops in The Blue Mountains this fall, including an orchard, a cidery, animals and more! The stops will also have entertainment, family activities, learning opportunities, vendors and food, depending on the location.

We’re also excited to be partnering with Meaford this year, where they will be offering two additional locations to explore.

Those interested can head to www.exploreblue.ca/openfields to learn more or subscribe for updates, including when we announce the stops on this year’s tour.
